    Accreon is currently looking to add the talents of a Product Owner to our team. The successful candidate will work with a requirements team to gather, define and refine requirements within a Product Backlog (PBL). Working alongside the Scrum team, facilitate continued PBL refinement and user story understanding. A strong understanding and experience in the healthcare domain is crucial. The successful candidate will assume the following responsibilities:

    Includes but not limited to:

    • Work with the Product Manager, Scrum team and other Stakeholders to ensure the PBL reflects the business and technical requirements required to support the product roadmap.
    • Effectively work with business stakeholders to ensure the appropriate participation in the product development, sprint planning, demonstrations, product backlog development, etc.
    • Perform release planning to support the product road map and ensure the PBL reflects the release plan.
    • Ensure the PBL is continually prioritized to maximize business value and the release plan.
    • Manage and own the product backlog along with creating and owning user stories.
    • Ensure the PBL User Stories are always ready in a timely fashion for consumption by the Scrum team.
    • Lead, collaborate and participate with the PBL refinement team to ensure all aspects (business, functional, non-functional architecture, design, UX, UI) of user stories are defined to the right-level for consumption by Scrum teams.
    • Develop User Stories and the component parts that detail the user story including user story definition, acceptance criteria and details that augment the requirements of the User Stories as needed (i.e., wireframes, data definition, business rules, etc.)
    • Develop User Stories resulting from bugs and defects.
    • Collaborate with the Scrum teams to provide clear direction on the PBL User Stories.
    • Be available to provide User Story insight and clarification to the Scrum Team during Sprints.
    • Review and accept sprint increments against user stories and their acceptance criteria using a systematic approach.
    • Be able to effectively manage, prioritize and perform multiple tasks with demanding timelines.

     

    Qualifications

    Essential Skills and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related technical field (or equivalent).
    • 5+ years of prior experience as a Product Manager / Product Owner in IT.
    • Trained in agile development methodology (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
    • Strong understanding in Solution/Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
    • Strong knowledge and technical abilities in large systems, data and interoperability.
    • Proven experience in setting direction for technology teams, prioritizing development activities, and driving new product development investments using Agile methodologies.
    • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with highly developed attention to detail.
    • Highly motivated proactive contributor.
    • Ability to deliver high quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
    • Demonstrate business acumen within the context of product development and delivery of business value.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in English and in French: presentation, customer service, business, technical, and negotiation skills.
    • Demonstrated track record of completed multiple, complex technical software projects

    Additional Assets:

    • Familiarity with health care solutions
    • Willingness to travel.
