    Accreon is currently looking to add the talents of a Data Architect to our team.

    Responsibilities

    Job Role and Responsibilities 

    Includes but not limited to: 

     

    • Work with the Product Manager, Scrum team and other Stakeholders to understand the business data requirements and deliverables
    • Effectively work with business stakeholders to ensure the appropriate participation in the product development, sprint planning, demonstrations, product backlog development, etc.
    • Lead the data architecture and design effort on complex projects and applications
    • Design and enhance data solutions with focus on data quality, performance and scalability
    • Define, enforce and manage best practices for data design and modeling, and maintaining associated documentation for data life cycle including guidance on data ageing and archiving
    • Design reporting databases as well as ETL between sources and reporting databases
    • Provide guidance and education to development teams regarding coding best practices
    • Participate in code reviews and develop components that are strategic to the solution
    • Provide support and assistance to load testing activities and testing result reviews

     

    Essential Skills and Qualifications

     

    • 8+ years of experience working with MS SQL, and/or other enterprise RDBMS
    • 5+ years of experience designing complex data models
    • 5+ years of experience using data modeling tools such as Erwin, Power Designer, SPARX EA, and/or similar tools including a working knowledge of metadata structures, repository functions, and data dictionaries.
    • 2+ years of hands on database development and tuning experience (stored procedures, triggers and index etc.)
    • Experience in medium-large enterprise environments
    • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills in English required
    • Knowledge of performance considerations for different database designs in different environments
    • Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development and implementation of applications
    • Experience in monitoring and enforcing data modelling/normalization standards
    • Experience with various aspects of information management at the enterprise level (data governance, data quality, master data management, information life cycle, etc.)
    • Display high degree of confidence and ability to work in ambiguous situations
    • Strong work ethics and a desire to drive successful solution delivery
    • Experience in Information and Data Architecture Standardization
    • Experience with data auditing solutions and frameworks
    • Experience with cloud, big data (Hadoop, Cassandra etc.), and real time analytics
    • Experience with master data management, and meta data management and tools
    • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with highly developed attention to detail
    • Ability to deliver high quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
    • Demonstrated track record of completed multiple, complex technical software projects

    Additional Assets

    • Familiarity with health care solutions
    • Bilingual French and English
    • Willingness to travel
